Default Who has a stroker package?

Seems like a good way to make nice, naturally aspirated power without much in the way of drivability issues.

If you have one, where did you get it, who installed it, how much hp and how much $$$$?

Get a full package from a reputable builder...

As a note: know a guy who didn't really know engines (05 GTO) that put together his OWN package (based on a forged LPE 403 bottom). He was VERY DISSAPOINTED with the 465RWHP he ended up with (after spending close to $18K on it). Bad/wrong combination of heads/cam and very difficult to tune.

You can get that much from a plain old LS2 with a good H/C package. That's why I say - get the whole shebang from LPE/LG/etc. - they put these things together and can tell you what you can expect to put out when it's all together, instead of "pieceing it together" yourself.

If I had mine to do all over again (knowing what I do now), I'd likely stick with an unstroked LS2 bottom (forged), heads, cam and the APS TT system. Or I'd wait another year (or so) and do an LS7/Heads/Cam/Maggie.

Not that I'm unhappy with where I ended up - just that had I waited a little longer, I wouldn't have the the ballbusting experience of being on the "bleeding edge" of the technology curve and could have driven out of the shop with a complete, tuned package (instead of the 4 months of BS that I had to go through to get everything just exactly right).

Most folks that ride in my car tell me it's the fastest car they've ever been in. The thing pulls so hard in accel that it scares the crap outta most folks. Now that I'm used to it, it seems kinda slow to me - but trying to get another 100HP out of this (without starting from the block up) is going to be an expensive and aggravating affair that I'm just not willing to go through. That and I'm tapped out of $$ to spend on this car - enough is enough.

Thanks for the input. Are you going to be in the neighborhood again any time soon? I'd love to check it out.

542 rwhp - so you picked up about 200? How do you feel about that? I would have thought the h/c / headers were good for 100, and the SC another 100-150. I guess it's in the ballpark. Why would you have gone TT instead of SC now?

Anyway, the car must run very strong. I've certainly never been in a car with nearly that much power.

I love everything about that LPE package except the price. Over 15k, plus shipping. I just called Anthony at LG - gave me some good info too. I guess it's a matter of how fast I want to afford to go, or something like that.

For over $15K, I'd expect a bit more than 550bhp...oh, I forgot, you do get those pretty carbon fiber covers in the engine bay.

Maybe, Jeff....but the truth of the matter is, my money is probably better spent on some driving lessons!
