2005 C6 Corvette Installation Instructions

Kook’s C6 Headers install from under the vehicle. Raising and securing the vehicle with jack-stands is a must when a lift isn’t available. Front and Rear Oxygen sensor extension harnesses will be needed to complete the installation. (Part No. EX682-Z) – Sold Separately.

DO NOT ATTEMPT this installation if proper Safety Equipment isn’t available to you. Seek assistance of a professional installer.

1. Disconnect Battery
2. Raise vehicle and secure with jack-stands.
3. Remove spark plug wires from spark plugs.
4. Unplug and remove front and rear oxygen sensors.
5. Remove exhaust system and manifolds. (Note: If being re-used cat back may be left in place.)
6. Inspect and clean cylinder head port surface.
7. Remove transmission line hold down bracket located on passenger side of block, forward of bell housing.
8. Install new bracket (supplied) in your install kit by gently raising the lines and bolting the new bracket to the block.
9. Connect O 2 sensors to headers and slide headers into position from under the vehicle. (Note: Install gasket and headers with 2 bolts on each side, but do not tighten.)
10. Connect front O 2 sensors harness.
11. Install remaining header bolts and tighten (Note: Headers may need to be loosened for proper exhaust alignment)
12. Install Kooks’ X-Pipe and Mid-Pipes using hardware and clamps provided. Fully tightened system only after X-Pipe is centered in the tunnel and exhaust tips are properly aligned. Loosening system to make adjustments may be necessary.
13. Connect rear O 2 sensors harness.
14. Re-use factory hardware to secure mid-pipe hangers

If additional assistance is needed please contact Kook’s Custom Headers toll free at 866-586-5665 or contact your dealer.

Thank you for your purchase of Kooks Custom Headers. We appreciate your business.

I just finished my install last night. I didn't think I had the bracket either. Mine was hiding i plain sight in the the small box all of your screws and stuff came in. :-) It's a small piece of metal with one hole in it. it replaces your factory bracket for the tranny lines. You will need it if you dont have it. Otherwise, your tranny lines will rest on your headers... bad.

Get some stainless steel locking washers from the hardware stor for your header bolts. anti-sieze would be a good idea too.

time to complete on jackstands, with a buddy, taking our time: 1.5 hours. get everything off, 2 hours getting everything on.

Bill, I thought you were going to have T-Byrne install them for you? They were very reasonable when they installed my Bullets. Plus that will give you more time to put my surveillance system in!!!!
