The Maggie install instructions were actually pretty good. This was my fourth Maggie install (different cars), so I had a clear idea of how everything went though. The hardest part is removing all the junk in front of the engine to get to the crank pulley to drill/pin it. If it weren't for that, these kits would be super simple to install.
As for tips, I have a big one. The steering rack can be completely unbolted (hoses, steering rod ends, etc...) and slipped out towards the passenger side first, then lifted up and out towards the driver's side. No need to lift the engine or even unbolt it off of it's mounts. Getting to those hoses and tightening them back up required small stubby wrenches and such though. Not much room to work down there!
Thank you very much for the tip. Do you think unbolting the engine lower mounts and lifting the engine is faster and less work or did you prefer removing the rack so you could have more room to work when drilling the pulley?
