I have another thread in C6 general on this topic.
It has not been an issue for me, but I've had only a few drives out in the hot weather. From what I understand, the centrifugal superchargers are actually worse than the Maggie.

Yes, and centri is not for me. Too peaky...I would just do H&C +gears at that point. Have you taken your car to an HPDE?

Not sure I know what HPDE is.

No prob, your discussion applies here too!

No overheating issues at all with mine. The 160F t-stat and revised fan settings keep the engine coolant temps in the 183F range on the hottest days. The highest I ever saw it reach was 204F, when I got stuck in a traffic jam mid-summer. Still cooler than it ran when stock (220F all the time).

I've also done several full throttle laps at Road Atlanta, no problems there either.

As for traction, I have a set of 17x9.5 front C5 Z06 wheels with a set of 275 M/T drag radials on them. Those tires hook great, I only use them if I go to the drag strip though. Click the link in my sig to see the gallery, then click on the Corvette and then the photo gallery. It is a few pages back for a photo of that combo.

you know a metal rod in the right place welded to the mounting plate on the camera that would hold the camera rite way up and hung from the rear window make less noise and better lap times since topp is in!!

Thanks Tony. BTW, what is the sound we hear in the video: it sounds like belt slippage or tires. Happens right after you hear the blower accelerating. It is a constant, single pitch sound. Thanks.

That would be the tires. No belt slippage here. Belt slippage is easy to spot, because it leaves a nice film of black powder around the manifold and pulleys from the belts. The blower itself is also kind of loud at high rpm, mixed with the hazing tire squeal.

I actually have more extensions and elbows, I can definitely make it hang from the window, or even stick it on the inside of the passenger window. I just did it this way because it was simple, and the weather was perfect. Plus, I wanted you guys to hear the blower and tires clearly

Very nice. How close was the installation guide from MAgnusson to what you actually encountered? Did you remove the rack and pinion or raise the motor to pin the crank?

Any tips to share?

Awesome video.

The Maggie install instructions were actually pretty good. This was my fourth Maggie install (different cars), so I had a clear idea of how everything went though. The hardest part is removing all the junk in front of the engine to get to the crank pulley to drill/pin it. If it weren't for that, these kits would be super simple to install.

As for tips, I have a big one. The steering rack can be completely unbolted (hoses, steering rod ends, etc...) and slipped out towards the passenger side first, then lifted up and out towards the driver's side. No need to lift the engine or even unbolt it off of it's mounts. Getting to those hoses and tightening them back up required small stubby wrenches and such though. Not much room to work down there!

That's awesome. I had a Maggie and 460+ rwhp on my C5 and it would do that in first, but not all the way through second like yours is doing.

Nine,
First off beautiful car and I'm glad you did the work yourself. Not enuf guys like us around. I had one question. I've got 4.10s and an N/A stroker that wraps up just like yours and will get crooked thru 3rd and get a piece of 4th rolling into it just like you did. Does 3rd come loose at all? I'm just wondering what kind of power I'm making... I'm still tuning before I get to a dyno. I think your car is a good comparison. I'd love to be over 500rwhp on this one.

Anything over 475 rwhp should cook the tires pretty good on a Corvette. Get that thing to a dyno and let us know what you find out!
