Default Help I have a new problem

a new message appeared on the DIC today, it says "SERVICE CHARGING SYSTEM". and the battery is not charging. I think it might be something wrong with the alternator.

anyone had any experience with this problem?
please help,

Mohd

Yes, we had the problem on a ZO6. The starter solenoid was cracked and the main power bolt was loose in it. We chased it for awhile and the dealer could not figure it out. We found it once we put the car on the lift and noticed how blue the end of the power wire was. Since we replaced the starter we have not had any problems.

the car still starts and run, but if I don't charge the battery manually it dies.

how can I locate the starter selenoid?

That was the exact same problem. The car sat at the dealer for a week and they could not figure out. You will have to put the car on a lift or tow it to the dealer. I would not keep driving it. When we got it pulled down you could see how hot the wires had gotten from the loose connection, the ends were blue. Take it to the dealer and let them worry about it, that is what your warranty is for.
Thanks
Justin

sounds like the classic alternator going bad to me. the car is running off the battery that you are charging up. drive it long enough like this and you will need a new battery too!!!
