Tonight I flashed my high beams and nothing.
Then I tried switching the high beams on, again nothing.
I get the blue signal on the gauge panel.
The head light stays on low beam.
Any idea(s) as to what to check before I make an appointment with the dealer.
Is it something that can be shut off with the tech II?
The reason I ask that is the bcm needed to be replaced.
While I waited for the bcm to arrive, the technician shut off some functions (power top, windshield wipers-all speeds except high, power trunk opener, maybe more). After replacing the bcm, all functions were turned on. Maybe he forgot the high beams.
I have a 2005 convertible.
I find it odd that both bulbs did not work.
I glanced at the inner wheel liners.
The push pins look fresh, undisturbed.
I am doubting that the bulbs were replaced.
I think it may have been something else,
like turning it on in the bcm.
But then again, anything is possible.
BTW, the car has 600 miles on it.
I will give it a more thorough look over in the morning light.
