CF member GentleBen and JagVette both have it. That is an awesome package. More rear wheel power and torque than a ZO6. This is a primo built engine for about 16K.
You're supposed to use 15W50 oil, which is somewhat hard to find, though.
If I had the dough, I'd do it!

I run 15/50 Mobil 1 in both of my motorcycles. I find it at my local Wal Mart with no trouble at all.

I have the 403. I have over 6k on the motor. It has been perfect. Car is a rocket. More power than you can use in 1st and second. On the highway the car is a bullet.

With the new price on the 427. If I did it again I would go with the Lingenfelter 427 LS7 motor. I laid my dyno graph over a 427 graph and the mid range power of the LPE 427 is awesome.

Love my car, motor made it perfect.

I have one of there 403 packages as well along with LG long tubes w/Hi-flow cats, and Corsa Sport cat back. Mine came almost indentical to Ben's. 468.7 rwhp and 470.4 rwtq.

LPE was great to work with. I went up and visited them last October and they spent almost two hours showing me around their facility and answering all my questions. Let them have my car early this year to work on. They also put in a DTE Stage IV rearend for me and several other items while there.

Very professional outfit.

I did the LPE 403 package conversion (plus some other mods) and I love it. IMO, it makes the C6 run and sound like I always thought it should. I preferred the strong, forged-component 403 motor. I went with the mid-range cam....the car physically rocks at an idle but it smoothes out once underway....it's very drivable. My car (with LGM headers and Corsa Sport exhaust) is loud and fast with a great muscle car sound.

I had the work done at 21st Century Muscle Cars in North Dallas. They were great to work with before, during and afterwards. I highly recommend them.

PM if you want as I think I still have a long write-up I did right after the installation....a considerably more detailed account. I could email it to you. I'm also working on a video/audio I'll be posting soon so you will be able to see and hear what it's like.

FWIW....it was recommended to me to run regular Mobil 1 5-30 but switch to 15-50 when racing.

I did lose the remaining GM factory warranty on many items but the LPE 403 motor is now warranted for 3 years/36,000 miles (I think they just increased the warranty).

Here is one of the dyno pulls with a comparison to the stock Z06. While the Z does slightly more RPMs, it's graph lines gradually increase to peak numbers. The graph lines of LPE 403 spikes almost straight up and then gradually increase to peak....you hit the gas and it flat flies.

Again, PM if you want more details.
