I'd buy 3 ZR-1's if I had the money. There's a reason it's called the King of the Hill. It took 16 years to make another Corvette that could beat it - and it STILL holds the Corvette endurance record. My father in law has an '06 Z06 and REGRETS having given up his ZR-1 to us...
Just goes to show that age doesn't equal wisdom - just arrogance. I LOVE listening to people talk out their a$$.
Man, I don't know what you have been smoking, but those are not correct times for the 2006 Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend. The results of this year have not been posted, but nobody was in the sub 30second range.

Someone posted "Do you get off on coming to the C6 forum and boasting your C4?" Well, yeah, I do. Don't get me wrong, I love the C6 and fully intend to own one some day (along with my ZR-1).
I find it amazing that so many "new generation" owners feel the need to bash the older cars instead of appreciating that without the older cars the newer ones would never have been generated. "nuff said.

I wrote em down directly as the awards were handed out. They were the best times as stated by the awards MC. There was a lot of ribbing going on over the numbers there as well. I looked to see if they were posted yet as well. Admittedly I was not at the AutoX event, just the awards presentation. Lets just say I was curious for the results
Well, I'm not a wealthy man, but I've got enough in my checking account to write one for a C6.
Hey there BIG DOG...show us your ride!!!!!! As to your checking account comment...Monopoly money does not count..By the way which parking lot did you the the ZR-1 you keep speakin of?????

Best autocross times by generation this last Eureka Springs meet.
I was laughing so hard I could barely write down the numbers!
C4-23.81
C5-23.86
C6-24.78
Draw your own conclusions.
I conclude this thread was originated by a C4 owner.

It really is no surprise to me that the C4 fares better in Auto Cross than the C5 and the C6. It has always been an excellent auto cross car. It will not keep up with a C6 or a C5 in a drag race or a road course however. I have owned all three generations and really loved driving the C4 with it's go-kart like handling.
I just talked to the C6 driver and figured out what happened. He never drove M6 car before. All he knew was "Step on the clutch, change gear, push the go pedal, slowly let go of the clutch". So he did it exactly as he knew. But all he knew about the gear box was
"Front - P, Center - N, Rear - D".
So he must have driven the car all the way in 4th gear. He was wondering why there's no "R".
