Default Check engine light codes after header installation

I had headers installed several days ago. From the start the check engine light was on which we all figure were the 02 sensors despite the fact that I got high flow cats. Anyway, yesterday a fellow forum member pulled the codes for me. These are P0036 (HO2S heater control circuit bank 1 sensor 2), P0054 (HO2S heater resistance circuit bank sensor 2), and P0141 (HO2S heater performance bank 1 sensor 2).
I guess the HO2S before each verifies O2 sensor involvement, but am I correct in assuming there is only one of the sensors involved since all the codes are bank 1 sensor 2. If this is the case, why is only one going off and not the other?
Thanking you in advance for your input and thanks to Steve for pulling these codes for me.

It's unplugged or the wires got too close to the exhaust and melted.

I threw a CEL upon initial installation too. However, I attributed it to the excessive amount of smoke that burned off the header & pipes after initial start up. After the smoked cleared, I reset the CEL. It's been fine since.

do not get a tune just to solve these codes. just like it was posted previous, either the o2 wire(s) burned, not plug in or bad o2. you can use a tune to turn any code off, but that should be the last option. it is not wise to use a tune to turn off a code if the cause is burned wire and not fix / replace the wire. good luck to you.

I will be taking a look at it tomorrow morning. I always thought I was going to tune it sooner or later, but I do have OCD when it comes to my car and I will not get it tuned until I know it is perfect otherwise.

Thanks to all for your help.

Well, NOT HAPPY AT ALL TODAY!
Got under the car and realized that the post cat o2 sensor slots were welded shut! The O2 sensor cable was tucked in on the right and there is not even post cat 02 sensor on the left which is the reason the code is shooting. Very upseting. I do understand that a tune will fix all these as it will turn the o2 sensors off, but still wanted a quality installation which I am unsure I got. My installer knows I was going to do the tune after a honker install and maybe this is the reason why the o2 were welded shut. Anyway, I was assure that the codes will not go away even with the missing sensor replaced which I disagre with since only the missing sensor code is lighting up. I will be picking up this 02 sensor from my installer and replacing it. I jut want the car correct before any new mods go on or the tune. What do you guys think?

yeah, i saw the same thing under vidal's car, why would someone weld the x pipe (without the owner's knowledge) so the post cat o2 sensors can never be install is beyond me. why not just put in a bolt or a plug in there instead? the driver side post cat o2 harness isn't even cover up...it is just hanging there wide open for any water to come up and short something out. moral of the story is, if you are having someone work on your car, CHECK THE WORK AFTERWARDS.

O2 sensor threads are M18x1.5, have them drill new holes and weld in new bungs. Use MB oil plugs to seal them if you don't want to run rear O2's.

I won't ever use that shop again.

Thats wrong on many levels. I would make them pay for the fix at another shop and if they balked I would be consulting with an attorney. Its the principle of the thing. Welding up that 02 is over the top to say nothing of the clearly shoddy work they did. You should post the name of the shop here and in the regional section for that area so others dont have to go through this unfortunate experience.

I've got to know who this installer is so I can avoid them in the future since I also live in Chandler.

No excuse for that at all.

Well, I wouldn't call the EPA because thats liable to make an issue for the original poster too.

Well known local shop with good reputation. A sponsor of this site. Anyway, I will give them a chance to get it all fix before I seek legal advice... oh, wait! My wife is an attorney!
Will keep all of you posted.

I have had headers installed for over a year and I have never had a CEL. Yes I have a tune but the codes are not turned off. If you know how to install a O2 sensor without ruining it I see no reason to turn off the codes.
