Okay I've done a little searching but haven't really come up with anything concrete. I'd like to lower my Z51 but i've heard some people say they're buying the bolts, and some say that you can lower it with stock bolts. any pics of each or some advice?

Lower it as far as you can on the stock bolts first. It is real easy. Plus the car will settle some after 5-10K miles. If it is not low enough then buy the lowering bolts and slam it.
Here's a pic of mine lowered on the stock bolts. The rear bolts are cut but the fronts are untouched. I can't see any reason for suspension disassembly and aftermarket bolt replacement when the factory bolts can be cut at will while still installed in the springs. Just my 2 cents.

Reason: forgot the pic...
How did you cut the rubber bushing on the stock bolt on the car. I have thought about doing that but have not figured it out yet.
Also what is the distance from the ground to the highest point of the fender opening in the front and rear. Shockwaveharry your car looks great that is what I am shooting for.
