Default C6 Ceramic rotors

Are they available (if so, how much)? Are they worth it for street use?

They will cut down noise and really eliminate the brake dust! They are better for street and not recommended for racing. There are forum vendors who have them do a seach and take your choice.

Ceramic rotors would be about $2k per wheel. More likely carbon fiber instead of ceramic. You're probably wanting to know about ceramic pads...... LOTS less.

ceramic rotors

I am sure you meant pads - the advantage of ceramic pads is that they dust less so it is easier cleanup of your wheels.

Disadvantage is that they dont slow you as quickly as regular pads and they dont like extreme heat (in other words aggressive driving).

BTW - C6R Carbon Rotors $10K each

If ya don't know the difference between pads and rotors, you most likely can save a little money because you don't need them.

No, I did mean rotors. Some of the Porsches come with them (as an option).

Yes, yes, yes, and yes. I was just simply curious if there was an option out for C6 and what the price was. Just because it's 8K on a P-car doesn't mean it would be that much everywhere else. Never hurts to ask........

There is some talk that Stoptech is working on a ceramic composite rotor. You might call them.

If you're talking about ceramic "pads" then here you go.

I have them on my 06 Z51. Changed them out as soon as I could. Had a set on my 99 too. Great for street use..............track, not so much
