Default 408

Hey Guys I was just curious. I have an 02 z06 and to do a 408 in it I need a 6.0 block. For you guys with the c6 with the 6.0 blocks is it cheaper for all of yah to do a 408 since you have a 6.0 block to start off with? Also has anyone noticed which engine is more mod friendly on putting out power between the ls2 and the ls6. For instance would a ls2 with headers and exhaust put out more then an ls6 with the same setup? Thanks

Generally the 408 comes from a 6 liter IRON block. You can do it with al., but that is really not recomended. A ls2 block with a 4" crank is a 402-404(depending on overbore)

Mod for mod LS2>LS6.

Default Instead of a 408, how about a 426.06 or 427?

All you need is a LS9 block, bore is 4.063, honed to 4.068, $1200.00. Then simply put in a 4.1 inch crank, forged pistons and good rods. There you have it a 427 for a lot less than the going LS7 block. As for heads you can go two ways, LS9 and intake or a good set of ET 225cc or larger will work with a FAST 90 intake just fine. Food for thought???

I think you mean L92 instead of LS9
