Popping on deceleration....a question inside.

Pops and gurgles. Awesome. Lets everyone know your coming. To the ill informed, they think you are backfiring.
My tuner explains that is a build up of fuel rich exhaust gases that expand quickly and POP as they exit the exhaust valve when you decelerate.
This is exascerbated by the free flowing exhaust and headers.

I'm new to the forum, old dog, I have 06 Z51 and I'm thinking about a Stinger, Fast and LG Headers. This pop I've been reading about, does it come when you just let off the gas and slow down,like for a stop sign, or does it happen when you down shift. Sorry to sound so ignorant.

It will not pop during idle, acceleration. Dont worry about it.
The only thing I would worry about is using a Stinger. IMHO cold air is best. Think Calloway or Vararam.
