KDW2 question
I purchased the tires from a Goodyear dealer that I had previous experience with last year with the removal of the runflats and installation of Michelin Pilot Sports. He got the KDWs via a distributor who claimed they were supposed to have different tread on the front and rear tires. The distributor is now "profusely aplogizing" now that it has been pointed out to him that there are two different KDW tires. I guess I will never know the truth, but the replacement KDWs for the front should arrive tomorrow. Looking forward to a little driving with the new tires and Koni FSDs.
The printed page from tire Rack shows; "Tire Specs for BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2 on 7-13-06".
The printed page from Dicount Tire shows; Purchase reciept spells it out as "100Y BSW BFG G-Force T/A KDW NT B on 8-3-06
Evidently BFG didn't differentiate between the tread styles.
Tire Rack called them KDW 2 (and still had the KDW's for sale)
Discount Tire called them KDW NT (for New Tread) and did not sell the old tread.

The KDW2 is a great tire in a warm climate.
Up here in Canada mine don't hook until it warms up in the summer. Meaning at least 20 degrees celsius (68 Fahrenheit), but when they do hook they're nice!
Yes the pic was from a few days ago and that is snow.
