Squealing Brakes/Will anti-squeal coating help

I replaced my 06 base factory pads with Hawk HPS's when I installed Z-51 bars and Bilstien HD's. They squeal worse than the factory pads. Has anyone tried coating the back side of these pads with an anti-squeal compound, I purchased some today to do just that but the instructions say not to use if there is a shim on the pad, which there is. Any advise or expertise would be appreciated.

I just installed a set of these pads a few weeks ago. on my C6. Absolutely silent. The last few years I've been using Honda M-77 assembly paste on the backs of brake pads, (comes with all new Honda pads) with good result. I've used it for applications with or without shims. Available at any Honda dealer, and cheap.

Brake harder. dont be a ***** foot on the brakes. Better brake pads for better stopping performance mean better or more friction. When used to lightly they will squeel.

they have to be seated first before you say if they are worse or not.
