Gee, what does CNC ported Mean???

From http://www.gmperformanceparts.com/Pa...input=12564825

For those that have the 799 head and the rumor of GM dumping out these old Ls6 head, you may just be the lucky ones. The old ls6
Cylinder Head - Cnc Mach Showroom Stock Version Of 2002 LS6 Head

CNC-ported aluminum racing head
2.00" Hollow stem intake, and 1.55" sodium filled exhaust valves
.570" max valve lift
250 cc CNC'd "Cathedral port" intake ports
85 cc CNC'd D-shaped exhaust ports
61.9 cc CNC'd combustion chambers
Bare head p/n 12564825

The super good hollow valves.... small combustion chamber.

I think that what needs to be confirmed is what is a 799 head? Flow, cc's, etc.

What engine was it designed for, why the change at GM, etc.

It was deliberate at GM for sure, there's a reason.

They are talkin about it here as well http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/foru...ad.php?t=73468

One thing is for sure, the 2007 C6 will go down in history with this quirk.

And I believe the 05 Tahoe 5.3 has more hp than the 02 Tahoe, 25 more hp.
My casting number is 862. So maybe the 799 are refined heads for 07. Let keep an eye on the stock dyno number.
