Default LS7 Cam in MN6, C6

I did a search and could not find the answer.

If you could get a deal on an LS7 cam, would it be worth installing in a 6 speed manual C6?

Would you need to replace any other parts in the valvetrain?

maybe the springs. the stock springs suck and the stock cam has low lift compared to the ls7.

It would be a complete waste of time/money. With the cost of labor involved, the price of the cam is negligable. Go bigger, please do not open up a perfectly good motor and lose your warranty for minimal results.

Vendor . . . . . . . duration . . . lift . . . . lobe sep

<Comp Cams . . . 222/230 - .581/.591 115LSA>
<Comp Cams . . . 224/230 - .581/.588 114 LSA > XER273HR
<TRcheatR . . . . 215/230 - .601/.578 117LSA>
<LPE GT-11 . . . . 215/231 - .631/.644 118LSA>
<Crane . . . . . . . 216/224 - .585/.585 114LSA > HR-216/344-2S-14

<LS2 stock . . . . . 204/211 - .525/.525 116LSA>
<LS7 stock . . . . . 211/230 - .591/.591 ???LSA>

Can someone help me out with the lobe separation angle on the LS7 stock cam? Thanx.

LS7 might work on par as the CHEATR or LPE GT-11...like to see someone do it in L92/76 combo on LS2

when compared and remembering that the actual lift of the ls7 is more than just comparing the cam lift numbers(since it has 1.8 rockers instead of 1.7), the adjustment is very close to both of those cams if switching to 1.8 rockers. would be interesting to see a curve with a 120 lsa. it might be pushed too far and the redline needing to be adjusted on the ls2 to get max power.
