I am getting ccw wheels going with 345 rears and 275 (I think) fronts 19" all around. Someone said that the 'steering geometry' is adversly effected and the car will not handle as well, especially in quick manuevering (like on a race track) is there ANY validity to this...
If the bigger wheels weigh more that will have a negative impact on handling. Not sure about the rest of your question. I would call or email LGM or Hardbar and see what they say.

No, your car will handle very well as long as the weight of the new wheels is not much heavier than the stock setup. I am not sure how your balance will be with tires that wide out back and only a 275 in front, you may neeed to go with the C6Z06 rear sway bar. I run CCW 18X10 and 18X11 with 275 and 305 and my car understeers a little with the stock Z51 bars.
No to a point. I use 18x305/30 up front. at slow speeds upder 60 mph and driving around the paddock before going onto the track, the car handles like a pig in the mud. It just wallows.
But at higher speeds, the handling is second to none.
I now have 305's in the back and 275's up front. Car doesn't run worse in any way that I can tell and it corners way faster.
I'm ordering either 9.5" or 10" x 18 wheels on the front with either a 265 or 275/35/18 tires and 11" x 19 wheels on the rear with 325/35/19 tires.
Non-runflat tire selection (which I prefer) sucks a bit for the 11" rear wheels...maybe 305/30/19 PS2s but then John's (CCW) comment was the 30s don't look right.
I believe John said his 505a wheel is 1 to 1.5 lbs heavier than a stock wheel.

Uh, no!
I have the same setup on mine - CCW wheel 19x10 front 275/30/19 pilots and 19x13 345/30/19 rears. It handles better than stock based on my SOTP meter.
Then again, it could be the pfadt coilovers or adjustable sways.
After the install and corner weighting, this thing turns in like a demon and can hold lines (without slipping) that scare the crap out of my wife.
