the air dam/scoop, combined with the Vette's low ride height, makes the condensor and radiator pick up more debris than more "pedestrian" cars. i would venture to guess that many C5 owners could benefit from blasting all the crap out of their car's radiator and condensor fins.
it seems to have helped mine.
