Lubbock, TX - Might need a favor!! Have tools and maybe a trailer?
I'm sorry for cross-posting this all over, but I need the exposure.
Is there anyone remotely near the Lubbock, TX area that may be able to help out a 1992 C4 owner friend of mine with something? You need basic mechanical skills and some hand tools. If you have a car trailer that would seriously rock too!
Her power steering pump pulley cracked (its plastic in '92) shredding her serpentine belt and leaving the car stranded at a dealership. The dealer is quoting around $700 for the tow/pulley/labor because the '92 pulley is hard to get these days.
A conversion to the 1993 non-doublesided ribbed system isn't too hard.
I just thought I'd reach out to the 'vette family and see if anyone would be willing to help her out. I'm sure there would be a case of beer and food in it for ya!
