Fixed Callaway reverse in 05
Ok, so my car would not go into reverse. 05, just like some others. I found that it came from the factory with the shifter on the wrong side. We talked about this before so I'm not going into it. Changed that over and un did all the shifter housing bolts. Put car in reverse and tightened them down. DO NOT DO THIS!. It went in reverse fine but 3rd and 4th were tough and it would really screw up the tranny. Not a solution.
I undid it again and put it in 4th. Retightened and viola works like butter. So, it looks like there is enuf slop in the 05 housing to make it tough to go into reverse. Mine was a bear but now it just slides in better than stock.

On the one I sent back that would not go into reverse----I must have thought that I had placed it in 4th for the install, but it must have been somewhere else?
