Default Lingenfelter Intake

I rarely see any posts re: Lingenfelter parts. Why is this? I just bought the intake product, and they say increases of 12-15hp gains. Anyone have anything to offer? Ease of install? What other products match well? I have a set of Texas Speed heads offered to me and I wondered what my total gains to be expected are>.

Thanks to all,
Gunz

You must be looking in the wrong places. There are tons of LPE post's here about parts performance, and all that stuff.Maybe look over in GENERAL SECTION.You'll gain some with their INTAKE SETUP,as well as others like VARARAM,CALLAWAY,etc..anything that gets outside air and stuffs it down the maf's throat!!

LPE products are top notch, as are others like Callaway etc. I use the LPE CAI. Install takes time and is sort of a pain since you have to remove the shroud to cut it.

LPE CAI is nice. I have one. I did the install myself and it was a bit time consuming to get the old shroud out. I bought the optional pre-cut shroud so I did not have any cutting to do.

I have the LPE CAI with my LPE 403 motor and it's great. As mentioned, LPE offers a pre-cut shroud and they have some good DIY instructions available on their web site (if you can't find them PM me and I'll send you a copy).

I have 2 filters and they are washable. You need to get the car up in the air a bit to remove part of the airbox from underneath but its not that big of a deal. I put in a clean filter and wash the old one to use next time.

The design of the C6 makes it much less susceptible than the C5 to water ingestion but I have driven with my LPE CAI in fairly heavy rain without issue. I do avoid deep standing water which even the owner's manual recommends for the stock C6.

IMO Lingenfelter is the gold standard for Corvette performance modifications....their CAI is a quality product.

Getting the shroud out and then back in is a PITA. I bought used of a forum member, so I had the cut shroud to look at while I tried to get the original out. It is difficult to get the lower part of the shroud seated under the bracketry when you put it back. Fortunately it is a little more flexible with the big hole in the middle.

I like the sound when you get on it!

I also have the LPE intake and like it. You could always add a supercharger!

I replaced the Vararam with the LPE unit. It is a far better part. Get the LPE you won't be disapointed. Oh and it works with a Maggie the Vararam won't.

i waste money on the vavaram....it was a bottom feeder...i was a little scare about rain intake...to be safe i switch to LPE

the LPE has a larger box compare to other brand...i guess this mean more air

The fit and finish on the LPE is top notch. Install wasn't as bad as I thought from reading some of the posts on here.
