Last week i posted that i got 16.5 mi per gal. practicing hole shots ,runs up to 100mph and lots of passing gear changes ,filled tank ,tried again drove sensible in stop light to stop sign traffic every 1000 yds.at one time i avg. 22.5 ,with no straightaways and the worst conditions i avg. 19.5 on the dic. and then divided miles by gallons and i was right on , no complaints here . I don't drive in a manner trying to maximize fuel economy (I just drive 'normally') but I agree, the C6 gets amazing fuel mileage considering the nature of the beast. On certain legs of a inter-state trip I averaged over 31mpg with my stock engine...with the LPE 403 it was 28mpg. Not too shabby!

The fuel economy capapbilities of Corvette C6s (and even C5s) never ceases to amaze me. Automatics typically far elss fuel efficient then their manual counterparts but in with this awesome 6L80 (A6) transmission that isn't always the case, I've gotten some crazy high MPG numbers in my car on the highway so I'd imagine that the manuals can be astronomical if one were to 'take it easy' on the throttle.
