Default Corvette C6 Mods

The incorrect mid-pipe was shipped for my corvette mods. My upgrades are complete with the exception of that. I am going back into my stock exhaust, so I need the 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" mid-pipe.

Here's my list of mods:
228/232 @ 112 LSA Cam double springs and pushrods
Callaway Honker CAI
FAST Intake Manifold
Kooks 1 7/8" Headers, x-Crossover
Underdrive Pulley
160 degree stat
Tune

Dyno results to follow....

That surprises me, because Kooks is very good with customer service. The X-pipe does mate up to the stock or after market exhaust. Good luck on your problem.

What is the part number of what you recieved? I just got done thumbing through my Kooks WD catalog and I don't even see any x-pipes for corvettes that are 2.5"x2.5". There are 3"x3"...

Kooks did call me back twice and they too are trying to get in touch with C.A.M. They are now willing to send the correct parts once we identify them. I will never get in the loop of ordering parts and taking on that responsibility again! I feel like the pivot man!

All the guys at Kooks, George, Chris, and even Liz have always been great whenever we talk to them.

Thanks Drillo - What color is your Vette and how will I know which one to look for? Is lmb on the license plate? It will be interesting to see how many pieces it is in! I finially figured out how to upload pictures for "My Corvette Photo's". The Fuel Rail Covers are posted there as well. I got those off of Ebay for $328.00 shipped! I have the guy's business card for anyone interested. The airbrush guy is out of Plam Harbor Florida.

Thanks Martin. I expect the final parts to be in this morning and plan to leave Lynchburg at around 2:45 PM this afternoon. It's a 2 1/2 drive to Carolina Auto Masters, so I expect to be home late tonight. I will try to get the dyno results posted tonight. I want to make sure the box with the last parts are delivered this morning before getting too excited. It should be a wild drive home!!

Well, I just spoke to the header manufacturer and the 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" mid-pipes shipped out yesterday UPS ground instead of overnight delivery so they did not arrive at my installer today. The system shows UPS delivery tomorrow Wed.

So it looks like I may get my car back sometime Thursday if I can get a ride (Wednesday is out now due to work schedules). It may be the weekend now before I can get my car and post Dyno results - Sorry Guys!

This latest turn shipping events deserves the throw-up guy!

Thanks Evilways Man, Jeff is doing everything he can to get my car finished but the Kooks header folks are several days behind getting me the correct parts for my mid-pipes. The wrong ones shipped up front. Jeff and I were expecting parts today but somehow the parts got shipped UPS ground instead of overnight. Kooks computer shows overnight, so this appears to be an issue with UPS. It does not really matter anymore. It is what it is - time to move on. Jeff had to move my car and free up a lift today.

Jeff said he started it a short time after the mods were made and it sounds great! Maybe he will be able to get the tune and dyno in tomorrow assuming we get the parts. After we get headers on the car, maybe he can send me some RWHP numbers!

I'm just not going to get excited anymore. It's just been one let down after another.
