Consider the Hotchkis if you want adjustable. They'll be a little stiffer than the Z51/Z06, but you can adjust them. With this weekend's sale, it looks like they're $384.

Talk w/ Kushan about my car. We did a complete Z06 suspension install on my C6, but most important was the alignment. My car tracks really well, without any real concern about my back end coming around, or push.

Just an all around better feel to the car.

Yeah, thanks Phil. Kushan has been a part of this discussion all along. I just like to get various opinions here. We're doing the Z51 set and Ill get a chance to see how they fare until after the holidays when I may add wider rubber. At that time I may want to swap out the rear for a Z06 bar and do suspension as well.
OK, everyone here with a base or F55 suspension that has raced with the stock, Z51 and Z06 swaybars, all on the same car, raise your hand.
.
My car is a Z51 and I tried a Z06 rear bar off of a friends Z06 for track day to see if I wanted to buy one and put the Z51 bar back on because the back end wanted to come around.
Maybe I needed to make changes other than the bar to make it work...
If you buy the Z51 sway bars you will have a firmer, more solid ride and suffer from a BUNCH of understeer. If you go further and change to the Z06 bars, the ride will be even firmer and very tight. You will have a tiny bit of oversteer that you can control with your right foot.
I just did this. I first went to Z51 bars and then to Z06. I'm staying with Z06.

I did the Z06 bars on my base 06 a6, so far i am very happy with them!
But the backend will come around on you alot more than with the stock swaybars.

If you haven't done this yourself and you're just repeating what you read elsewhere, you're not doing anyone any favors. If you have first hand knowledge of upgrading the base or F55 suspension to the Z51 swaybars, please tell us how it handles when you push hard in a turn.
With the z06 bars on my base 06 a6, the car feels so much more crisper and planted to the road compared to the stock swaybars!
But watch your right foot on the gas when making a turn, with the z06 bars the backend can really get away from ya!
I put the Z06/Z51 sway bar on the front of my F55 C6 along with the Z06 bars in the rear.
Everyone has different needs, driving styles and different mods (inc. tires) etc., so take that into account when selecting sway bars.
On my stock F55 Corvette the rear Z06 bar created a dramatic oversteer. It came on very quickly and I spun the car several times, which I had never done before the bars. I took the Z06 bars off the rear and the handling was much more to my liking. The oversteer was virtually gone and the turn-in was noticeably quicker and flatter. The front front Z06/Z51 bars were a nice improvement in my case!
If anyone wants to buy my Z06 bar, let me know. I'll sell the very slightly used bar for a good price.
