I think I left my C6 out of reverse overnight and the battery was dead when I tried to start it. I charged the battery back up and drove for awhile to a restaurant. I ate dinner and came back out to a dead battery again. I had to get a jump, but drove the car for awhile again to charge it back up. Turn it off at home and tried to restart it and it started fine. Made sure I was in reverse and parked it for the night. Started it this morning and completely dead again. Charged it to full and let set for a couple of hours and battery dead again. Car is in reverse. Obviously something is draining the batter. Anyone had this problem before or have any advice?
It is an 05, but I have never had a battery problem before. This is a first. I can't believe this would have killed the battery. Has this been common with the 05 that the battery has to be replaced?
You may also want the dealer to do a parasitic draw test, see if there is any component or computer drawing more than normal mAmps after the car is shut off. I would definatley have them check the battery, charging system, draw test and any updates the dealer might have from GM.
