I'm running MT 305/35/18 on my C5, I was able to cut a 1.55 60 ft with these tires, and I've got them mounted on my stock rims. Excellent tire for the track

Maybe because it was just drier than normal the past year or so, but I didn't have any trouble. Standing water was to be avoided once I got past around 9000 miles, but I ran them down a little lower than this...

And they were fine

I actually drove hom on my ET Street bias plys once in the pouring rain - so long as I went 35 or less it was ok. Man people were mad at me on the highway! A trail of 4Vettes with our hazards on.

Just be careful out there if you decide to run these daily. Speed and standing water are not your friends.
Good point, but remember George and I are in SoCal so we do not heve these problems. We have other problems, but rain is not one of those. Hey George, give me a jingle if you want to ride in my car and see how the Nittos do. Any of the tires mentioned here (+ Toyo RA-1s) would work fine for you as a DD streetable tire.

Can you look at the tire and confirm?

Does it feel soft like a DR or hard like a 20,000 mile tire?

Sponge Vette said he got a 1.55 60! That's pretty tough to do on a 20,0000 mile tire! These tires sound like just the ticket for high hp C5's.

IIRC, and I think I do, my M/T DR's have a "0" tread life. Says so right on the sidewall.
