Just put the Vortex on my car this past friday and noticed a difference right away. Car runs awesome!!! The quality of the intake is awesome as well, looks alot better then most intakes that are out there for the Vette.

Sorry Jenn we could not make it to the races last night. Our long time friend (over 30 years) and Tae Kwon Do instructer for 3 generations ( includes for my son and daughter) Was shot behind his do jo and died Monday. What is this world coming to. Our prayers are for his family.

Who has the best price on the Vararam? I am debating swapping my Halltech and Vette-air CAI after my last dragstrip outing.
I had HP tuners with me this time, and my IAT at the beginning of the strip was over 110 degrees on a 74 degree night. By the end of the track it was still almost 90 degrees.
The CAI just doesn't clear the intake cavity of all the hot engine air fast enough to help in the 1/4.
On the street however, it is great, and my IAT's generally match the ambient on the dial.

Maybe one day, someone will volunteer their car, the vendors a few units, and there can be a back to back test and shoot out. That's the only way you'll ever truly know which one provides the "most" gains in a particular application.
In the end, maybe we can all agree that any CAI is better than no CAI, and which ever one fits your budget, your asthetics and your purpose...cut the shroud, bolt it on and get out there and drive the pants off the car, and may the winner be kind enough to buy a cold one for the loser....and no matter which one you choose, remember the vendors that come here to give us info and great service...they spend time in these threads instead of doing something else and they do deserve our support.

Okay out of the two I can tell you that the Vararam Snake Charmer works, the dyno won't show any improvement as the Snake Charmer is a true ram air, you need to be moving forward for the system to work and work it does.

I have the Vortex, but I see that the Vararam works great on almost every c6 with records held, including "dennisnj50." With minor bolt ons he did 11.30@118 this past weekend with the vararam and company, fastest bolt on ever. Congratulations dennis..However, I still like my Vortex..
Also my buddy with a totally stock c6 and vararam being the only mod does much better against me with all my mods, I can truely say it works, not jumping ships, just an observation..
