Default C6Z Tranny Problems

Has anyone had any problems with the transmissions in their C6 Z06s. My grenaded at 1000 km. Dealer claimed the 200 km with the turbo set-up and the dyno runs caused the failure.
This same dealer that screwed up the tranny installation by not tightening any of the exhaust bolts, putting the shifter in wrong and cross connected the O2 sensors.

More info would help. What RWHP are you achieving? What transmission?

I've talked to several tuners and they all suggested limiting an A6 car to 500rwhp.

695 RWHP
Tremic T56 (The only one available in a C6 Z06)
I'm sure there are a lot of C6 Z06s out the pushing a lot more power than 500 RWHP considering they are 445 RWHP stock.
I was told the 1 through 5 gears were ground down. I don't believe dyno runs would have done this in a 800 hp car since dyno runs are done in 4th gear and the transmission is rated at 850 ft-lbs.
If the turbos did cause the tranny failure I’ll deal with it. I’d just like to know if there is a chronic problem with the transmissions in the 06 & 07 Z06s. After all there must be a reason than GM changed the transmissions for the 08 models.
Has anyone considered the TRANZILLA from Rockland Standard Gear (1,200 Horsepower and 1,000 ft-lbs of torque).

695 RWHP is better than 56% more power at the rear wheels than the car came from the factory with.

Not surprised that it crapped out.

You may not be surprised but both Lingenfelter and Rockland Gear were. I don't know what your experience with high performance corvettes is but I do know what their is and they were surprised.
