how much benefit, if any, can i see from getting a dyno tune this early on...
so far i've only got a vararam and corsa sport exhaust...
06 mn6...
just wondering if it'd be worth it to get the tune now, or if i should wait until i have some more mods...
thanks.
unless u need some codes turned off, or fans changed for 180Tstat, dont bother wasting 500 bucks... if u plan on doing other mods that is... if u plan on doing headers do the tune when u get those... if this the way the car will be... might pick up 5-10 with a tune, jsut depends on how u want to spend 400-500 bucks
My '06 was a bit anemic from the factory. After a tune (only had a CAI at the time) I came out 30 ponies stronger. Plus, I wanted to know my baseline before making any serious mods. 30rwhp is a whole new car.

Unless you are doing more mods in the near future, a tune is worth the money without doubt. I would not hesitate at all to go to a good tuner and spend the money. Every Vette I get, I change the intake and exhaust, at a minimum anyway, and have it tuned.
I have 05 MN6 Z51 with Honker and Corsa Exhaust. Was wondering the same thing. Called Chuck at Corvettes of Westchester. He spent a good twenty minutes on the phone going through different options with me;
Today I got a tune and 160 stat. Chuck spent a good two plus hours with the car, tuning, driving, adjusting the tune, driving etc.
Result: A completely different car! Cant believe the difference - the car is a beast! Completely woke it up. Haven't been able to wipe the smile off my face! And its running smooth as silk!
Go for the tune but make sure its with a good tuner not some hack- best $600 I spent!
Great job Chuck!
