The post has significant tech value especially in the safety area for those who dont know the reality of the TQ N2O can develope. He did a major service to the guy with 400+rwhp who thinks the car can take a 125 shot on runflats. The responses are safety suggestions that should be taken seriously for newbies to nitrous. It isnt a war story thread.
At work we always pass along "near miss" incidents. They are valuable safety tools.

Last night my car went sideways (approximately 150 degree angle), hitting 3rd floored. It went sideways with such force my head snapped and hit the side pillar and gave me a nice knot ! I had never had an issue like this before, not like last night, and then I noticed I didn't have it on first click 'TC off' Luckily I was in the middle lane of a three lane road with no one on either lane
I must say, that got my attention real fast. And I don't even have nitrous, but a healthy dose of bolt on's cam and 4.10's.
BTW, what mode is the car upon start up?

You are not the first to hit your head on the side pillar. I have done it twice during Solo 2 events. Each time I went into the corner carrying too much speed and I had to really cross it up to save it. Luckily I was wearing a helmet, but I could imagine that I would have given myself a nice knot on my head. I've run autocrosses in nine different cars over the last 38 years and the new Vette is the only one where I've hit my head. Seems like a poor design to me.
Put a camera mount in your car so we can all ride along next time
It probably looked a little like the below video. There is no sound in this video but you can see the speedo and the adjustments needed in the steering wheel to keep it straight when shifting to third. Closed track .
Once you get above stock power levels the runflats offer very little traction. Mine spins quite often on the 3-4 shift at around 107 mph.
NY must be a scary place to live if someone's going to pound you for saying HI.
BJK
I was joking about that but since you bring it up and my friends and I in earlier years put it to the test after an out of state trip......in saying hi to 23 NY people to see their response, one woman (black with a southern accent) responded with a "hello".
You mentioned initially there wasn't much of a hit from the nitrous but then it came on in one big hit. You also stated you were in 3rd gear at 45 mph....I'm assuming you have a window switch for at least 3,000 rpm.
3rd gear at 45 mph is around 2,600 or 2,700 rpm? Probably well under when your nitrous is set to engage, so I don't think purging the system would have changed the results in this case.
