Clear Hood?
JUST SAW THE PICS OF THE zR1 AND SEEMS LIKE IT HAS THE TOP PART CLEAR AND U CAN SEE THE BLOWER
I WAS THINKING IF THATS POSSIBLE TO DO ON OUR HOODS OF OUR VETTES?

Why wouldnt it be?
You could easily make a clear hood or a section clear....and by easily I mean probably expensive, lol.

Anything is possible. That hood is the one thing on the ZR-1 that I do NOT like....

It's been done. This is an example from the website for Porsche hybrids cars. It belongs to one of the members. It's Chey powered, of course.

Same stuff that surrounds hockey rinks....and protects gas station attendants....

I'm a fan of it on the Ferrari not the vette but I have not seen it in person so that might change.

While I don't necessarily
love it on the ZR1 I do think it helps
set the car apart from other Corvettes/other cars in general quite nicely.

I'd be interested in the carbon-ceramic rotors for weight savings. I'd be interesting to see if they'll fit a standard C6.

Ferrari engines look better underneath the glass than a crappy gray/blue engine cover.
