THE LIST

Regarding correction factors:
Times are received from all over the country and are not corrected. Because track and weather conditions vary, this list ranking does not, and can not, identify the fastest cars or drivers in any particular order. It only lists the recorded times, regardless of conditions, in order from quickest to slowest. In cases where ET is the same, the higher MPH determines list order.

Thanks, and yep, that's the Turbo Technology twin turbo kit. I know it should run better, but it was my first time at the track with the setup. It'll run better next year.

Oh for sure, only a 1.82 sixty foot so I know that car isn't done yet by any means, it's got 9s written all over it once all the details are worked out.

Default So CLOSE!!

I thought 11's were possible today, I got so close. This beats my personal best by .4 seconds and 3 mph. How? First I borrowed some Nitto 17" drag radials and got my 60's down to 1.89. But more importantly, the weather was awesome. We normally run Friday nights, but today was a Team Firebird event and they let people test and tune. It was 47 degrees out with the sun on the track (good traction) and the corrected barometer was 30.41. I've never seen a DA under 1000 feet out here in Phoenix. Today it was 255 feet DA!!!!!

Best was 12.033 at 118.43 mph. Backed up next run at 12.035 at 118.41 mph. My best mph was another run at 12.042 at 118.68 mph.

Here's the best run slip:

Name: IMG_3901.jpg

By the way the car in the other lane was a good friend of mine in his new GT500. He got down to 12.796 at 115.76 mph (bone stock). His 60's weren't too good with a 2.235 on that run.

Thanks,
Glenn

Tommy D,
Don't forget to add "DR" to my mod list. I'm out looking for some 17" wagon wheels right now. Since I dead hooked, I don't think I have a much faster 60 foot possible with my stock converter. So I think I'm just getting the same tires I ran today, the Nitto 555R 275/40-17's.

CORVETTEFORUM C6 Corvette ET Rankings

History
The ¼ mile challenge began when Zippen Zee decided there had to be someone who could run quicker than Jschindler and issued a challenge on October 20, 2005. The thread quickly evolved into an informational tool for members on LS2 performance. The early version of the list began as an educational tool to be utilized by our members, comparing the elapsed times and mile per hour of different optioned & lightly modded Corvettes. The purpose of this thread was basically to see who could post the fastest showroom stock times. We though that it would be challenging to get really fast times with the stock rubber, hence the title "Stock Rubber" on the original list. The original list allowed CF members to actually see what performance gains are possible running stock tires.

As CF members went to the track and posted their times the list evolved. Somewhere along the line we added more individuals who had modded their cars so that other CF members could benefit from each others experience as long as they ran their cars with the stock tires. It finally evolved into its present form when Nineball rearranged it in June of 2006 into the list you see now. It became a Sticky later that month, thank you Major Z06. In December of 2007 it became a new thread and was merged with the original thread by ALLTHROTTLEANDNOBOTTLE, thank you.

In any event it can be utilized as a reference tool as there is a wealth of information contained herein. The list serves as a good way for other Corvette owners to gauge the potential performance based upon modifications done.

This is not about the fastest car. It is about keeping records of results posted by members based on specific combinations. If it were about finding the fastest, then the times would have to be corrected for weather and altitude conditions, all parts would have to be verified and video as well as time slips would have to be provided.

Don't be embarrassed to post your time as I have been doing this longer than I care to admit and have recorded the slowest C6 time of 17.15 @ 102.02....... even I still screw up after all these years. With regard to what a member runs, we all need to feel comfortable in our Corvette and seat time allows the driver to dial in his launch. Just like anything else you will improve with practice, good luck & enjoy

Classes:
1.) Showroom stock
The way it came from the factory, stock tires, air path, stat & etc.
You may add or decrease tire pressure, have as much or as little gasoline as you like

2.) External Modifications Bolt ons
As defined in LS1TECH.com

3.) Internal Engine Modifications
Head & cams
Engine packages

4.) Power adders
Superchargers, Turbos and Nitrous

Supporting vendors are welcome to post their time slips and information with regard to their modifications for the members

Administration.
There are several members who have participated in this endeavor from the beginning to present. They act as the board of directors, made the rules, vote on your suggestions and help me administer this list. They are a valuable asset to all of us as without them there would be no list. Thank you all very much. In addition, there is 06QuicksilverZ06, Allthrottle&nobottle and Ranger who have kept me on course as I am the individual who records the times.

We originally posted times based upon the integrity of our members, unfortunately, too many individuals were not being…… shall I say hundred percent accurate, so now we require a complete time slip. I rather not have a discussion regarding the validity of information in the open forum but it has happened before and may happen again. If you post something that seems ridiculous, that does not mean the rest of us have to believe you. Honesty is always the best policy! Any questions are normally resolved by private message & e-mail.

The Rules
A word about the rules, we abide by the forum rules. There will be no arguments only discussion! I will have any argumentive posts removed from the thread. If you ignore the forum rules, mis represent your modifications, time slips and etc.... you will end up on my ignore list and your time will never appear on the list. Corvette Forum members request to be placed on the list and I reserve the right to disallow the posting of a members time on the list. In the event that I deny the posting of a time on the list I will notify the member by private message.

Tommy

Here is an example of a request to be added to the list using one of my recent time slips

My Corvette a 2005, A4 with 3.15 gears a honker & stat

I ran with 24 psi in rears 39 psi in fronts and ½ tank of gasoline. I hot lapped the car and was running approximately 192-195 degrees a bit hot as I would have liked to run at 180. I left from an idle and tried to ease into the throttle and spun off the line and once again when the car shifted to second gear. I lifted as I usually do just before the stripe so my MPH is a bit lower but I know I’ll stop the car before the sand pit. The car had more in it but it really needed a driver modification to post a better time.

Atco Raceway, NJ December 11, 2007 on a cold damp day with a negative DA
___ 60'.............1.940
___ 330'...........5.334
___ 660'..........8.063.
___ 660’ mph...90.54
___ 1000'..........10.426
___ 1320'..........12.435
___ 1320’ mph….112.85
