You might ask, "well it opens up at 3k RPM in stock trim anyway so what's the big deal?"
The big deal is that being open from idle might (or it might not) help the car launch/sixty foot better than a car without the switch, hence making it a potentially unfair advantage.

Stock is stock.
If adding a M2W switch is still stock then I'm adding a muffler bypass/QTP electronic cut out and even an IAT/timing tricker resistor to my car and calling it stock as well.
Hey it's just some wires right?

If you put carbon fiber rims and lighter weight 'non runflat' tires on you car it very well could (will) go faster.
You may ask, "but what if I were to put heavier/slower rims and tires on?"
My response is, "if you're allowed to change wheels/tires and still be considered 'stock' then so is the next guy, and that next guy might be the one using the lightweight stuff making it unfair to both you and me.".

I came from the fbody world where they have a "stock internal" list and "cam-only" list. Which means in the stock internal class you can change anything you want as long as it's not internal engine and the cam-only class is bacically the stock internal class with added cam and valve spring changes.
I ran 11.4's SI and 10.9's Cam-only, but the C6 is puzzling me at the moment

I took some advice and put the tires to 26 PSI, turned the TC & AH off, put the shifter in Sport mode, and let her rip.
First pass: 73*, 50% hum 30.04 bar = +1690 DA
Lanched off idle.
