Sorry if I've missed it. But how many C6's have gone 9's in the 1/4...on a 18" or larger wheel?

Anyone?

As far as I know, only one ('non Z06') C6 has gone 9s, the yellow Cartek supercharged car.
And no one has done it on 18s.

I havent posted in a while, havent run the car since march, right after the gears and new stock clutch that was replaced under warranty.

That day, it ran 12.10 @ 117 (lost the slip)with a DA of around 800'

Today, with a DA of over 2000', it ran 12.07 @115. It was hot and humid in Houston tonight, with 88 degree temps, with around 85% humidity, and no wind...We were all soaked from the heat. I really didnt believe the car would run better than a 12.4 today...but I was pleasantly surprised to turn in a new best on such a bad air day!!

I finally found the right pressure for this car for the DR...15 PSI...On the run, it spun sideways out of the hole, grabbed 2nd, it straightened out and just went!! ... It felt good, and I knew it was a good pass, with a 1.76 60', which is also a personal best for this car.. (best for my 06 was 1.72)... I think the car just needed to loosen up a bit after the new parts.... I cant wait til December on some 50 degree days... Right now i think it will go 11.7's with some negative air.

Tommy, please change me on the list
Daren

For those who might ask, here is the car and mod list

07 Coupe, Non Z51 M6
Z06 Body kit, wheels tires and brakes
BFG drag Radials (bald)
3.90 Gears
CAI
Z06 Exhaust manifolds
Z06 Mid and H-Pipe (3")
stock over axle pipe,
Magnaflow 14336 Weld in mufflers
160 Thermostat
Tuned. (still could be tweaked a bit...not as much timing as it could use)
380 RWHP, 375 RWTQ

I think you are dead on with your estimate - I ran a best of 11.7 with 386/379 in some 1000 DA air. And don't underestimate the benefits of some new DR's, I find a new set will give me an extra tenth and much less risk of a spinning 1.9. After about a year mine just aren't as good as new even though they aren't bald.

Great gains from the Z06 manifolds and mid pipe BTW! That is a great option for folks who have tests they have to worry about.

Frank "Evilways" warming up for another 11 second pass

Please see page 1 post # 6 for instructions & rules

THE LIST

Regarding correction factors:
Times are received from all over the country and are not corrected. Because track and weather conditions vary, this list ranking does not, and can not, identify the fastest cars or drivers in any particular order. It only lists the recorded times, regardless of conditions, in order from quickest to slowest. In cases where ET is the same, the higher MPH determines list order.

After about a year mine just aren't as good as new even though they aren't bald.

Great gains from the Z06 manifolds and mid pipe BTW! That is a great option for folks who have tests they have to worry about.
Thanks, but Im gunnin for ya joe Currently, you are the fastest LS2 M6 for the bolt on category...I want that spot... Thinking about the fast intake now, and with that, im thinking 11.50's are in my future with some good weather!

Tommy D,

I was wondering if you could update me on the 1/8 list.

Best pass

60ft.....1.684
330ft...4.777
1/8......7.34@96.69mph

The video doesn`t catch the numbers on the board but this is my best.

There is a slip that i couldn`t scan because it was to light but i will give the break down and video of that pass.
60ft.....1.691
330ft....4.796
1/8.......7.36@96.55

Now if we could only get those darn torque converters to work properly, huh?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Yeah really, gears alone are just fine, higher stall converters do NOTHING for the A6 cars.

On a more serious note...yours is working fine now I assume, no hunting or surging issues or anything?

Yeah, it works great now. All it needed was to have the idle airflow bumped up a bit.

If a properly sized stall converter doesn't work on an A6 then I think proper tuning just hasn't been configured or perhaps the ECM is not capable of the correct tuning. Converters have contribute tremendous gains on all auto transmissions. Our stock converter is so tight too that a converter would have to work it's magic.

100%...others who are somewhat 'less informed' tend to disagree of course.
