C6 1/4 Mile Performance Challenge
Soon the list will be meaningless without all the good LS3 times.

If you post following Tommy's rules you will be added to the list. Everyone will be treated the same and envy/hate/mistrust will not be a factor.
How will you feel when I finally get some video of my car running the same times nov 24?
I really dont want to spend $60 calling out internet haters but Ill probably go a third time on the stock tune just to prove the douchebags wrong.
Learning disability or college dropout?
What good are 1/4 mile list rules if they are not enforced impartially?
i was smart enough to get on the real list
not try to make up my own
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I do believe that all to be the case.
But c'mon man you're a drag racer, you've already gone fast in other cars so you know what's up, you HAVE TO admit that your 119mph+ trap speeds are seriously out of line with some of the reality we've all taken for granted for so long. Yes the better air/altitude is a factor but look at jbsblownC5's car with headers and tuning, your car almost out trapped his and that's a typically much higher trapping MANUAL trans with some serious mods.
Even though you (and your track's timing equipment) may very well be COMPLETELY legit, being the experienced track guy that you are you still have to understand where some of these doubts may be coming from, no?
Well Ill be getting more data end of this month, so I guess we will see what happens.

But even if he ran at 3000 feet and would've trapped say 2-4mph higher than he did at Fontana (123+mph?, it's possible I guess) at your track the day you trapped 119.5, it still might not fully explain where ALL of the benefits offered by the headers, the Vararam, the tuning, the (normally higher trapping) manual trans went to.
Give it a rest.
Tommy's list, originally conceived by forum member zippin zee, is better than two years old http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1214565
It has and continues to withstand the test of time, and is the current standard here for good reason.
It is THE LIST on this board, and with this being the largest C6 forum on the internet, is no doubt widely regarded as being one of the standard references for C6 quarter mile times on the world wide web as well. And quite possibly is only rivaled by dragtimes.com for finding C6 quarter mile time references.
It is perhaps the largest known single reference of C6 quarter mile times anywhere. And with Tommy taking steps to strengthen even further the credibliity of that list, by requiring time slips and other information now,
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...postcount=2037
it will very likely gain even more of a strong hold. Indeed, a couple people, with '08s and reported times, from your list, are not on his because they did not submit time slips after he requested them.
To give you a small example of the significance of this list, forum vendors have been, for a long time now, and are continuing, to attempt to use Tommy's list as a marketing tool by getting their entries on it. Either openly or not so openly.
Forum members here have long taken the approach that if you run a good time and you want it known about, this is the thread where it is posted. This is true for regular forum members and vendors as well. And is why Callaway, and a few others, either overtly or covertly, have been in such a hurry getting their cars, or cars modified with their products, on it.
Good luck with the list attached to your signature. But I am betting on Tommy's list, which is a sticky thread and is heading into it's third year, remaining "meaningful" for a long time.

Hey, I for one, do NOT appreciate seeing your LS3 hit list on this C6 1/4 Mile Performance Challenge thread. Why dont you create your OWN thread, entitled "LS3 TOP 15" or whatever, and leave this thread to the C6 1/4 mile Performance Challenge. I got no problems with LS3's, just with you butting in here on this thread with your own list.

Tommy does a magnificent job of maintaining that list and does everything he can to maintain it's integrity.

hey Tony, can i borrow it
