Going to the track again Sunday. I think there is more in her, I just need some seat time, get the stock shifting down pat, and good weather. I would really like to get a bone stock 11.999 or better, then look at a tune.

Down here in Houston, we have to get our best runs by April or so because May through October is no mans land for getting a PB.

 

Ran a new PB on the 1/8 mile last night. 7.319@97.4mph. 54 degrees, 59% humidity and 30.27 baro gave us a rare -600 DA. It was the final outing for my old slicks, new slicks were mounted today. Made 9 runs, only one 1.6 and it wasn't my fastest run. I ran mostly 1.7's with some spin. I did run 97 MPH several times which is a new record for me.

I've been doing some VE and MAF tuning lately, I'm hoping my new slicks will let me shave a tenth or two off my 1/4 mile time before the weather turns hot here. I have run 11.41 @ 126 a few times but that doesn't move me on the list.

Yes with a little luck I plan to keep the clutch for another year. It seems to be doing just great, doesn't slip even with repeated 5k launches, even hot laps last night. I ran 9 runs in 3.5 hours, so I gave it a workout. My buddy has a second hand LS2 clutch in his C5Z, and he loves it too. He was getting 1.5's with it last night (and whooping me in his H/C car in the process...)

P.S. Does this thread run PAINFULLY SLOW FOR ANYONE ELSE? i CANNOT ENTER MORE THAN ONE CHARACTER EVERY SECOND OR SO. ALL OTHER THREADS ARE FINE, AND THIS THREAD IS BAD ON EVERY COMPUTER I HAVE AT MY DISPOSAL (WHICH IS SEVERAL). FOR INSTANCE, THE CAPS LOCK IS STUCK ON WHILE TYPING THIS AND I CANNOT TAKE IT OFF. I TYPE ONE WORD AT A TIME, AND THEY SHOW UP A FEW SECONDS LATER.

Here's how I launch by the way. As you can hear I spun on this one a little bit.

 

Test and tune opportunity Saturday too good to pass up great weather and a light crowd (test only no racing). RT .135 60 1.953 330 5.315 1/8 8.008 @ 91.2 1000 10.327 1/4 12.262@115.22 temp 53.9 21.86%humidity and 29.91 bp . All stock 15320 on the clock. Left off idle in sport mode let it shift for itself. 30 psi front and 22 in back with dry burnout (light) track was very good they where using rt lane only to keep it hot. Full tank of gas and engine temp 207.

BTW It loads ok for me and I have a whole bunch of stuff with formatting to load every time I add someone to the list. It takes a bit to submit a reply otherwise I do not notice it slowing down. My only problem is that I can not edit the first post and make any changes.

Does anyone else have the same problem that Joe is having. I have asked to make changes but have not received the green light yet!

 

Nice video. I think 3.90's are certainly in my future as is the bump in compression ratio.

 

New personal best.. I still have some tweaks I need to do to my tune... Car is hanging on the 3-4 shift with 18inch rims... I guess when I let the air out it messed up my shifting. The track prep was poor and it was extremely crowded today. I will beat this time easily once it's sorted out....

Thanks, for the welcome, but I don't have a converter, and the nittos are street tires, not Drag Radials.

 

And you're also listed as a heads and cam car but you're actually a stroker (416ci) which almost always includes head work and cam swap as well of course.
Tommy will get ya all fixed up on the list though.
