Frank "Evilways" warming up for another 11 second pass

Please see page 1 post # 6 for instructions & rules. I need a complete timeslip & completed template in your post per the example. The bold numbers refer to the post number utilized to report the elapsed times in this thread

THE LIST

Regarding correction factors:
Times are received from all over the country and are not corrected. Because track and weather conditions vary, this list ranking does not, and can not, identify the fastest cars or drivers in any particular order. It only lists the recorded times, regardless of conditions, in order from quickest to slowest. In cases where ET is the same, the higher MPH determines list order.

Thanks for the update, but you put me in the wrong category. I should be in External LS2. I have a Vararam and no longer on the run flats.

That is seriously fast for bolt-ons only! That is right at my best times and I've got a cam. That would translate to 11.2-11.3 in the quarter. Nice driving, 1.5's in a manual are great.

Thanks Joe. I'm going to try and make it out one more time before I do my heads and cam. Only this time I'll be packing a set of GTO skinnies, a re-tune and some harder launches. I'm hoping for a high 1.4 or at least a 1.50 60ft and some 6.9s-7.0s.

The guy at the track said if I pass 7.25s I'll need a roll bar, which I really don't want.

If you go below 7.2 you'll be better than me and I've got a big cam. You're doing very well. My buddy got a couple of 1.4's with his c5z but he's the hot shoe driver around here, he's got years of experience.

It's hard to get a 1.4 with a stock clutch. You might try a two step...though they can break rears fast if you don't set them up well. Ask Isaiah48!.

I have some skinnies too and am going for a 10 sec slip this winter when it finally cools down in Miami. I'm going to take my passenger seat out like these other fast guys do and actually take my daily driving junk out of the car. I've got this silly goal of getting a 10 sec slip with stock heads. To my knowledge nobody's done it. Surely not in a convertible and surely not in Florida.

But my poor stock clutch with 420 runs, many 1.5's, and 47,000 miles may not be up to it. But it still keeps on kicking so I don't want to replace it until I have to.

I would'nt call 3.90 gears a "bolt on", but thats just me.

My RAM PowerGRIP HD with the aluminum flywheel is doing a real nice job on holding the power off the line. I have a RAM dual disk setup in my garage just in case but I don't have a need for it right now.

I know what you mean when it comes to having a personal goal. I'm trying to go 10s with boltons only. I actually want to break the record for the fastest bolton only C6 but there's no real way of judging all those times since DA will always vary. I would've ran a 7.1X or 7.20 flat if I would've powershifted but I was still trying to get use to these new 3.90s and shift points.

Practice is key. If you can master the first 1/8th, you'll have no problem. When my car was bone stock I ran a 13.09 @ Fontana on a hot a$$ day. The DA was crappy and I had only made a few runs.

I went to Irwindale, which is an 1/8th mile track and ran a 8.2 with good DA. Try to aim for at least a 2.0 60ft on street tires and you'll see a good ET.
