*Update*

Going to need to change my time just a hair. I manage to squeak out a trio of 10.8 sec passes tonight thanks to some 1.5 60's. All this time, I thought my Toyo's were crap but it turns out, the track was actually prepped tonight and despite the DA hovering around 700-1000, I still managed to have a good launch and an improved ET.

Thanks Derrick, Joe, Mike--everything I know about launching, drag racing, etc has come from you and a couple others (Shawn and Victor too).

Thanks so much.

My new goal is to take the #1 LS3 internal mods spot without removing the heads.

I still have the intake manifold I can port, gears I can add, and a lighter battery to swap.
I also want to add the lighter Hoosiers as well.

The air was also lackluster at best with DAs in the +800-1000 range.

I think with gears, better air, and a 1.4 60', I should be very close to the 10.60 spot.

I know it doesn't have as much of an effect on FI cars, but nice DA too, -434@7pm according to Dragtimes. Sweet

Just for your information the air/DA usually has "twice" the effect on forced induction cars as n/a cars. If the DA increases the hp 1% or -1% in a naturally aspirated car than it's maybe 2% on a FI car depending on the boost level.

PS: Blowned cars if the DA is worst can usually make up the difference; by turning the boost level up to run the same time as they did in better air/DA.

I think the point is that "DA" has more effect on a FI car. Example: A FI car that runs 10.0 in X amount of DA may run a 9.6 in much better DA, however a 10.0 N/A car would only pick up half the amount. Most supercharged cars have to change pulleys to increase the boost which usually is not an easy thing to do between rounds.

You can't just "turn the boost up" on a supercharged car

Edit - Grandsport man commented at the same time as me...

I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure Mark is running meth, which definitely helps negate the effects of poor DA.

I agree, but that was cancelled out by a 15mph headwind. You could feel it at the track on the top end big time. It was directly in our face. Not saying that the weather wasn't good, but far from perfect.
