Why is my time not showing on the listing on page 71 but I was on the listing on page 70? I am assuming it is just an error when Tommy D reposted it on this page.
This really isn't a contest, just a data base. As long as the mods are listed I'm fine with being lumped in with obviously higher modded cars.
I know it's not a contest, I was just hoping for a more exact representation of what the individual combined mods would do. From what I've seen listed, there is stock cars running better than cars with internal mods and close to the power adders. I do know that a more clean cut version may not be possible, because of all the variables such as track location, weather, track prep, etc.

Well that's exactly it, those factors along with the big one, varying levels of a given driver's skill/knowledge, will have a notable impact on the numbers/results.

As long as they list the mods I'll be happy. You are correct, the reason for the differences is the track conditions. Really no way to make this better unless we run corrected numbers, but that has errors in it also. For example my 12.52 at 114.4 run was run at 2300 DA (1250 track elevation). My runs up until then (at similar or higher DA's) all corrected out to 12.2's at 117.xx mph. LS1LT1 warned me that our cars don't always respond to lower DA's. Man, was he correct. I go out on a cold night with 1200 DA's and ran slower. Corrected out to 12.4 at 116 mph. Two reasons for running slower. The colder temps made it tougher to hook up and torque management screws you.
That would tell me that the Vararam might've been doing it's job then, all that extra power (yes, cooler air contributed as well) once moving caused you to lose more traction.
I've had 3 performance cars over the past 12 years and have had everything from basic bolt-on parts to superchargers. Some things work and some just don't. The Vararam, unlike my cat-back and Halltech Stinger, seems to have given a decent SOTP (even that can be deceptive) increase at WOT, at least above 50mph. I like it

We originally complied the list by mods so that members could see what cars similarly equipped ran. If you look at the early posts you can see cars grouped by modification.
However, the majority of members wanted the list to be who is the fastest ......... so we changed it to the way you see it now.
By now I think that we all realize the list as well as I have our faults. In any case it can be utilized as a reference.

Here is a vid of my car at 1000 miles. on feb 10th at California speed way. I ran a fastest that day of 12.5 at 114.I still need to learn the best way to launch. I only could pull a 2.1 60'. I even had drag radials on. I was also being cautious.I found a vid of one of my runs on a 350z forum. I have a corsa exhaust.6mt z51. When I learn to launch I should get low 12's http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v3...t=100_1184.flv

Nice times. I understand being cautious. My fear is rear end breakage and avoiding wheel hop is key. I personally believe you are doing yourself a big favor with the DR's vs stock hard sided runflats which tend to wheel hop.
Here's some videos of my buddy who I consider one of the best launcher and shifters out there. He spells out his technique in post 10 and it works well for me. Listen to how he launches. For reference He (and I) use stock clutches and he pulled his out to replace it at 30k miles (and many passes) and his mechanic told him to put it back in, it looked great. He did and it's still going strong.

That's a good time for Fontana, a really crappy track. I've only been twice but it was summer and very hot/miserable track conditions. What as the weather like on that run?

That is great. First time I was there, it was about 5000' DA and 106 degrees by noon while the second time, there was a 30+mph headwind right down the track with the DA getting up to 4000' by the afternoon. I think your times are very good for that track. Still not a great track even if the weather is decent.
