thanks, going to the dyno tommorow for a baseline. I've got a vararam waiting to go on, and then it gets tuned. next open test and tune is about 4 weeks away, really want to see if the mods make a difference.

I know this won't be added since it's a z06, but I'll post it anyways since I'm still pretty giddy about inching closer to the ranger and dr ron zip codes
showroom stock '06 z06 ran 3-4-07 at HRP (houston)

When I ran a stock-tire 11.31, the trap was 127.52 at a DA of 300'
My PR on stock tires, 11.24 127.03, was at a 1250' DA.
Trap speeds are highest when
(1) shift points are optimized and
(2) the greatest percent of time is spent with the clutch out.
Ranger
My car does not respond as much as it should to better DA's. It gets too cold and the tires don't grip. Not sure if TM also plays a part. However, notice you did go faster with the better DA, just not as much faster as you should have.

I too have run quicker/faster at say -900 feet than at -1600 feet, a lower DA is not always better IMO.
thats what really stuck in my mind. 127s mph it really goes
And then a 129+ on the DRs ...anyone who questions/doubts the astounding capabilities of the Corvette Z06 (or Ranger's skills ) really has no idea what they're talking about.
dennis, thats a very good question. I actually trapped very nicely in the 1/8 (99+), but a little lowish 1/4 (122.8). However, I've had my car dynoed and it's right in line (453hp/425tq sae).
Ranger has superb knowledge level of the car and is obviously a fabulous driver. Awesome traps and ets. Whatever I'm doing down track has a negative effect on the nanny controls or I'm purely missing shift points (I tried very hard to shift at redline). I lift shift every gear, although the 1-2 is very firm.
all in all, hard for me to complain much after running 11.31 et, trap be damned, and I've only made 4 passes total in the car (2 in october, 2 this past sunday). But that doesn't mean I don't want to learn.

True, 11.31@122+ bone stock is seriously hauling, congrats.

not sure, dennis. the only thing I can figure is maybe my run started off with a better 60ft than like Rangers 11.31 run, but he made up the et difference from the first 60ft with superior nanny elimination technique and/or superior shift points/quicker shifts. this car is not even close to point and shoot like the auto cars...lots of downtrack technique needed
