Default Fueling problem

I just put fuel in my 2008 coupe for the first time. I did get 20.5 Mile per gallon. The first 7 gallons of fuel went in without a hitch. the last 8 gallons took about 5 minutes to get in to the tank. Nozzel kept shutting off. the only way i could get fuel in was at a trickle. Anybody have the same problem? There must be a fix for this, any ideas

Thanks SKIP

Many times the problem is the pump nozzle, not the car. Try others or different gas stations. If it persists, try rotating the nozzle to a 45 degree angle when filling. There are some previous threads on this which you might search for.

I always shut the engine off when fueling mine, never had any problems at the pump, don't know if that will help your situation though.

I had this problem when I first got my car. It's something wrong with the way ithe pump sits on such a low car. How I fixed it was I held the pump with my hand and pointed it down into the gas tank.
