Default Hawk Hp Plus Brake Pads

Will Hawk HP Plus pads work on a C6 with Z51 option? On one vendor's site, they state that the HP Plus pads will work only on the base model rotors and not on Z51's. Is this true?

Brake pads between C5, C6, and C6 Z51 are all the same pad given the use of the OEM calipers.

Hawk plus work great on Z51, I have em with DBA slotted rotors. Quiet, shorter stopping, more dust though.

Have them on mine. Z-51 rotors. Nice improvement over the base brakes. No dust.

Hawk HP + and no dust??? Did you mean Hawk ceramics? or perhaps the HPS?
I guess if you don't ever apply the brakes that would be the case...

I use them on my wife's C5 for Auto-x.. The wheels are always BLACK after the drive TO the event....
I cannot imagine how they could be no dust on the C6 rotor.

I have them:

Pros:

1. Better than the Z51 pads in stopping. (That could be subjective as I never used the Z51's hard enough)

2. Lasts quite well on road course days, I just drive roughly 15 minutes out on the field.

Cons:

1. Squeels like a freight train. After a road course day, they are quiet till I give the car a wash. Squeels after wash.

2. Plenty of dust to make dust bunnies. Z51 is actually less dust.

Like them for the track, but the squeel is good enough to catch attention.

I guess I can run a few hard stops, but washing the car would have to make me repeat the process again.
