Default 229/229 114 Cam in LS3

I have a 229/229 114 Cam. I am thinking of installing it in my LS3 Vette. I am going to install it with all the supporting mods (Cold air, Long tubes with X pipe and 160 Deg thermostat) What do you guys thinks I will be seeing as far as power goes?

475rwhp. It would do 485rwhp with a compression bump.

Most 228's with a small 2-4 degree split make around 470-480 so you should be around there. The intake manifold may need to be ported and I assume they are XER lobes and that you will use an UD pulley.

For the compression bump I have to mill the heads? Do I need to replace the valve springs? What do you think, will the car be rough on the idle or milled (I work in Glendale and the Police are just looking for any thing to stop you for. I am going to keep the stock mufflers)?

Is that a serious question?
No offense but asking whether one needs to replace valve springs with a cam swap of this size or not is akin to asking if one needs to run more than 5psi in their tires on the street LOL.
Of course you need to replace them, I would replace the stock valve springs even if doing a tiny 214/214 cam.
Sorry for the harshness of my response but I've seen what some people actually do with their cars, where they've cut corners and the catastrophic results of such actions.

Not a problem. I'm kind of new to the LSX tuning so I am in the middle of learning I may ask some questions that may seem funny but if you don’t ask you wont learn. Thanks for the reply.
