Funny you should ask. I never had that issue until today when I went to the strip and got that same message/XX tire pressure while driving there on the freeway. (I put my DR's on 2 weeks ago with using my OTC TPMS to reset my tires and left the DR's on my car.) Once I got to the track and turned the car off and then back on, voila it was working again. I dont think it would be an issue since I was able to turn off TC and AH even with that DIC warning. I keep my cannister in the same compartment. I think what is happening is the car polls those sensors once an hour and I think once in a while it gets a false/bad poll. I think in the future just to be sure, I will pack my TPMS tool whenever I go to the track.

its because its in the compartment, it cant read threw and the seat, maybe thesignal cant bounce the right angles i moved mine in the net in the center or you can put it to the front seat when that happens and it will read in a couple minutes sometimes spinning the canister or shaking wakes them up. the other day i stuck it in my helmet in the net and couldnt get a reading 0 0

Thanks for the info on that. I dont use a cargo net, I got that GM organizer. You would think if it could "see" into the outer fender well with the stock tire on, it could see it in the compartment. It also could "see" it in the compartment for two weeks when I was driving with the DR's on the street. Guess not all the time obviously. However, if it happens again, will do as you say, will give it some shakes and put it in front seat, along with my laptop.

yes it reads threw the rim and tire but maybe the radio waves bounce off then back threw the glass or maybe under the car, also in the back with hatch cover seats maybe not enough bounce, just like the fob doesnt read somtimes in a certain pocket and how close you are to the console

Hey guys i'm at a loss right now i have tried placing my canister in the front floor, pass seat, both rear storage spaces, velcrod in the back corners of the trunk area and at the front of the hatch area between the seats. The car will read fine, then starts going in and out works fine then has a fit then fine again. I have a 4'' pvc about 6 in long and two end caps with one sensor tapped and sealed in one end cap for filling and the rest are in a baggy taped to the inside wall. any ideas to fix my issue

For starters, I think the length of you cannister is way too short. You need about 12" in my testing for good separation between the 2 sensors. You got four sensors in your cannister? With only six inches? Road racer are you? If your drag racing, you only need 2 sensors in that cannister for the rears. Or you got special fronts too?
