header tube length affects the power band, Lg's are 32" tubes and make TQ sooner. Kooks are 27" which raises the power band Thus the kook's
do better in the upper Rpm's. People who track their car,Like the lower Tq of the LG's. Better for pulling out of turns at lower rpm. Less down shifting. The higher band of the Kook's is better for 1/4 mile or straight
line racing. I don't do any circle tracks. The 1/4 or straightline is for me so I have the Kook's.I look for my power in the upper rpm's. The fastest 1/4 mile c-6 bolt-on car runs Kook's. IMO the Lg's give some peak trade off for the lower TQ. I am at the lower rpm for a split second in a race then, the RPM's are above the Lg sweet area, Right where the Kook's are making max power. It's more what you want AR's Kook's, Lg's are all great headers!

Hot.
Sorry, but did you see Alba's body in Into The Blue Let's don't even talk about Sin City As far as the headers, I have Kooks 1 7/8 on my 07, and can honestly say it was the easiest header install I have ever done. A buddy of mine, Sperkins, and I had them on pretty quick, and they fit great. LGs are nice, but they are pricey.

Umm, you're absolutely CORRECT when looking at those photos above except there's one problem, that's NOT Jessica Beal, that's Jennifer Beals, two totally different people LOL.
Jennifer Beals had it going on back in '83 in the movie 'Flashdance' but I certainly would NOT put her on the same page as Jessica Alba OR Jessica Beal.

And no I'm not sure which headers she has on her car either.

Im prob going with the cheaper option on this one.

I really hope this is true... thanks for the info!

Im new to the corvette club and I am looking to mod My 08 C6. Im looking at the corsa Sports with 4 inch tips but I have no idea about headers. I dont want mind blowing loud. I do want power and a nice sound. Will headers increase the noise level or will the corsas be the only increase in sound. Also what is the cost of the Kooks and LG Headers. Sorry if I sound stupid, I new. Take it easy.

Thank you

Jerry

Yes, headers will increase the sound (and the tone) of your exhaust, especially when you add in an aftermarket cat back. Not all after cat backs are super loud but the Corsa Sports along with headers can be, especially if you go with the off road X pipe instead of the high flow catted ones (most go with the high flow cats) when you do headers.

As for pricing, check the forum sponsor section down the left side of the page for any/all your Corvette needs and good luck modding!

Better? Yes.
But WAY better? I dunno.

Ironically, just yesterday I'd heard that Jessica Alba was voted 'best celebrity butt' in the world or something but let's not rule out Jessica Biel (it is Biel (or is it Beil?) not Beal, I'd spelled it wrong hence the confusion between Jennifer Beals and Jessica Biel LOL) just yet, as evidenced here:

Spending WAY too much time on this and too little on the topic (headers) at hand LOL.

One of each. But don't ask me which side should get which brand. That's up to you to figure out.
