Hey Everyone.... My 2008 C6, LS3 Z51 NPP MN6 is about 3 weeks old now and I am trying to break her in so I can go to the track. I want to get a set of wheels and drag radials before I go. Does anyone have any suggestions? Wheel size? Back spacing? Preference in Manufacturer of drag radial? The E-Town swap meet is coming up and I would like to buy these next week.... Thanks!!!!!
18" C6 wheels with new BFG Drag Radials Driven on twice. They look stock, fit great do not stick out at all and do not rub and my rear is lowered on stock bolts, I have 900 into them $800 shipped.
One wheel has small blemish see top edge about 1 o'clock
Got it wet so you can see better

I personally prefer to run a 17" tire (preferably a Mickey Thompson drag radial) on 17" rims obviously but they are limited in size and height availability for most C6 applications so I would also suggest getting a set of stock front 18x8.5 C6 rims and having them widened a few inches (18x10.5 or 18x11) and throw the 305-35-18 M/T DRs on them.
My Corvette Challenge buddies and I use the 17" M/T drag radials and love them. 1.4 to 1.6 60's are common in 6 speed cars (I am at the upper end of that range).
I run mine on C5 fronts which don't stick out and are cheap and light. I also drive to/from the track on them 80 miles each way.
Oh, and they are 1"+ shorter than factory tires which gives you a nice gearing advantage. I dropped .2 consistently going from the taller bias ply ET streets to the short radial ET Streets.
No one has any problems with their ABS? I have 19" stock wheels and can't find anythign greater than 17" in drag radials.... I want to make sure I wontt have any problems. THANKS!

I'm running the M/T 275-40-17 DRs as well and had no ABS (or TC) problems during the 175 miles that I'd driven on them, I generally don't ever slam my brakes hard enough to even activate the ABS either though.
There are no 19" drag radials but there are 18" ones as well as the 17" that you've mentioned.

Joe, which specific model are they? I'm looking at their site and they have 275/40R17's which is the same size as my BFG DR's. They also have 315/35R17's, both say 26" height but you said they are actually shorter in the other thread.

I have the 275's. They are 25.5 or so, thus shorter than stock tires. I don't know how tall your BFG's are so maybe they are the same.
Try the M/T's since you need tires anyway. You won't be sorry. Oh and IMHO in 1/8 mile, weather doesn't affect as much as it does in the 1/4. The launch really counts.
