Default Paddle Faddle

Really not impressed with the paddle system, any body make a conversion so you can shift with the shifter, more manual or old style?

Added 07 cruiser to the fleet, nice if you got a can of beer on the go but not much fun yet. I like to downshift for the corners, etc, my Cadillac SRX is more fun to shift, little light on power .

Sure there is some solution, suppose warranty issuses too.

Thanks

Default Paddle shift

I do not understand your problem, if you put it is "S" hit the paddle it does not shift unless you shift it. In my opinion it works as good or better than the manual transmission. I hardly ever use the automatic and find on track days I can out perform most other cars on the track even the Z06's.

if you like to down shift for the corners, put it in "s" pull either the right or left paddle towards you and you're off!!

How about this: http://www.eastcoastsupercharging.co...0Products.html

You can then upshift with the right side and downshift with the left side. I have a manual so I've never done any research on this product but they seem pretty cool.

Road course activity is not that simple, when paddles are attached to the wheel, they are more difficult to shift, they keep moving!! Straight line, no issue.

I also have a Z06, heal/toe etc. Purpoase built race car, L98 Solo car. So shifting not the issue.

Just would be nice to reach down, slide shifter over to sport and continue to up or downshift. My SRX is a breeze, would love the same system on the C6.

Met a Corvette rep from Detroit, he agreed reaching down to pull into Sport then going back to the paddles, then checking heads up for the current gear was not that efficient. Also one of his peaves.

Of course it is great for cruising with a brew!

PS I will monitor the left / right up/down shift, that is a good idea, I think.

Default Lag time

The problem I have with the A6 paddles are the lag from the time you upshift to the time that it actually shifts; there is a cure for this but it involves 'tuning' the transmission. Probably any reputable dyno tuning shop should be able to do this for you. It won't cure the problem with reaching down to shift but it will make the car shift quicker, which is always good when you're on a road course. ]

We do the A6 tune for only $99, and Chuck CoW and others that travel do a great job with it as well.

I desperately want my trans tuned, but am waiting for Diablosport to release the update for the Predator that will allow us to perform this tune. If Diablosport takes much longer to release this update I will have to take my Vette to a tuner here in Austin to tune the ECM and Transmission and get sell my Predator....

Is the problem just with '06-'07, or also with '08? I haven't noticed yet since I still need to break-in my C6.

Thanks. I guess I am going to have to get it done as well. Does it void the warranty?
