Underhood Light Switch?
Does anybody sell a simple switch that plugs in to the end of the C6 underhood light cable? I unplug the cable when the hood’s open for a long time, but a switch would be better. Ecklers sells a whole harness, mountable switch, and conduit package for $40, but that seems like overkill. All I want is a small switch that plugs in the existing harness.

C6 Chevy: Good idea, although my electrical cutting and soldering skills usually lead to cursing and replacing. I was hoping some entrepreneur had done the work for me.

In fact, if you want to spend some money on that under hood light, you could purchase an LED cluster to put in there; it will be brighter, whiter and consume even less battery power.As-Is that is probably a >12watt bulb, so with a 600 amp hour battery it would take you at least a week to run the battery down with it.
