Does anybody sell a simple switch that plugs in to the end of the C6 underhood light cable? I unplug the cable when the hood’s open for a long time, but a switch would be better. Ecklers sells a whole harness, mountable switch, and conduit package for $40, but that seems like overkill. All I want is a small switch that plugs in the existing harness.
C6 Chevy: Good idea, although my electrical cutting and soldering skills usually lead to cursing and replacing. I was hoping some entrepreneur had done the work for me.

Than I wouldn't worry about it In fact, if you want to spend some money on that under hood light, you could purchase an LED cluster to put in there; it will be brighter, whiter and consume even less battery power.
As-Is that is probably a >12watt bulb, so with a 600 amp hour battery it would take you at least a week to run the battery down with it.
