Default traction control

Can someone tell me just exactly how traction control works, I mean I have Idea but does the ecu pull timing or fuel, and are the brakes used.
also when completely disengaged are all of the above working at 100%, what about competitive driving mode. thanks

With traction control off, you have full control to take the car out of control, basically.

Sensors out back tell the computer if the wheels are spinning or not. If they start spinning, the computer takes control of the throttle and lets off accordingly.

At start up = TC and AH on.

1 press and release of the button = TC Off

2nd press and release = Competition Mode (TC Off and AH partially active)

OR; Press and hold the button for aprx 10 seconds and the DIC will state; TC and AH OFF = Both OFF (no electronic nannys working).

My understanding is that TC operates the rear brakes individually, which ever side is spinning gets the brake applied.

AH reads all 4 wheel speeds and other sensors to attempt to keep the car going in the direction you are pointed by using engine power (timing/AF mix) and the brakes.

How it works is that it takes over control of the drive by wire throttle and simply closes it until traction is restored. The competitive mode kills the traction contol altogether while keeping the active handling feature which is your yaw control.

Put it in sport Mode_ S, and then I believe your best option would be TC & AH off... Nothing to hold you back and lower gear ratio.

Yes, but in comp mode AH is reduced so you have greater tolerances for sliding the car such as you want on a road course.

Whenever I got WOT I want TC off...first, I can simply over-power TC anyway but I don't want the system fighting the car's acceleration. If I need to feather the throttle I'd rather do it.
